The Place We Fell in Love With

About District 1881

Greetings from Chilliwack,

Hotel Morado offers something new for the ever-growing number of tourists who continue to flock to the area. We’re the undiscovered gem in a community that’s become the new getaway du jour just outside the Lower Mainland.

Situated approximately 90 minutes east of Vancouver, B.C., Chilliwack is a community that fully embraces its rural connections and small-town feel. It’s also a thriving metropolitan area (the second biggest city in the Fraser Valley) with a population that continues to climb year after year.

From the peaks of Mount Cheam and Slesse Mountain to the flowing Fraser and Vedder rivers, the “Valley of Many Streams” (Tcil’Qe’uk, in Halkomelem) remains a constant source of inspiration for its breathtaking natural scenery.

Hotel Morado lies at the heart of the downtown community in District 1881, a vibrant new area that’s home to some of the very best shopping and dining around. Nearby Central Village adds to the area’s warm, contemporary feel.
