A small quaint Fraser Valley neighbourhood has once again come alive for the holiday season, and we’re here to tell you all about it!

We’re talking about District 1881, located in the heart of downtown Chilliwack. This neighbourhood is a historic enclave and vibrant commercial hub, making it feel like you’re walking through the street of Europe.

Things kicked off for the season earlier tonight when District 1881’s 40 ft. Christmas tree was lit up for the season. The Christmas tree and magical holiday lights will remain on throughout November and December.

Starting November 15th, bring your kids and four legged friends to meet Santa Claus! Guests are invited to bring their Christmas wish list and cameras to capture the magical moments. Photo sessions from Friday to Sunday are $40, and are by donation from Tuesday to Thursday (guests are encouraged to make a suggested donation of $20).

Take care of your holiday shopping while visiting District 1881 at the nearby downtown shopping district that offers boutiques for stylish finds such as The Button Box, Fraser & Co., Peyton & Buckle, and Lolly’s Fashion Lounge.
No matter your cravings, Chilliwack has an assortment of restaurants to discover, from the freshness of The Offy and Bow & Stern and globally inspired flavours of Hugo’s Mexican Kitchen and Shandar Hut.

Make your visit to District 1881 a staycation by checking in at Hotel Morado, a boutique hotel located right in the heart of the neighbourhood.
