Our Story
About Hotel Morado
Locally-owned and woman-operated, Hotel Morado is part of the revitalization of District 1881 spearheaded by the Algra Brothers. Built into being by a community of local creators in an exciting new area of downtown, what began as the vision of the Algra Brothers was operationally brought to life by Chilliwack-based entrepreneur and seasoned event management professional Jade Lehti. As a Fraser Valley local with a passion for hospitality and love of the region’s beauty and vibrant cultures, Jade dreamed of opening a space to introduce visitors to the area she calls home. When the opportunity to be a part of District 1881 arose, she and her husband got to work and Hotel Morado officially opened in 2024.
Designing a special hotel experience that goes hand-in-hand with the culture of local makers and outdoor adventure, Jade envisioned a boutique hotel experience that combined her commitment to amplifying community and local creators with a space infused with charm and personality. Private and personalized, Hotel Morado maximizes comfort and charm while minimizing the traditional extra hoops of major hotels by allowing guests to choose their own adventure—from check-in to check-out.
“Everyone enjoys quality, and being in a special place—and everyone deserves it. Hotel Morado and The Grand Hall are gifts that we get to give others. They provide ways of living my values and opportunities to support the community on a significant scale.” —Jade Lehti
Jade also co-owns The Grand Hall with her husband Cory.
